Not sure that ambition is a bad thing in a Prime Minister who is leading the country in an existential crisis and working to rebuild the country. I can certainly understand and applaud those who leave the moribund Conservatives to participate in the opportunity of a lifetime. I have repeatedly encouraged my own young MP in Edmonton Southeast to leave the party and sit as an independent or to join another party so he can take part in nation building.
It isn’t, for sure, and neither is it in an MP. Gladu turned 60 last year, and she recently married (2022). I think she’s done after this term and she was hoping to spend it in government. Like I’ve said before, Mark Carney is a different kind of Liberal. He’s an Alberta Liberal and everywhere else in the country, that’s a PC.
I especially liked the Melissa Lantsman cartoon. Since the most recent floor crossings have occured, I have taken great pains to point out to pro Pierre Poilievre supporters and conservatives that if the shoe was on the other foot meaning a conservative majority was in reach, Mr Poilievre's view would be as was expressed to the press.

Can you see Mr Poilievre's shock and consternation that he and members of the conservatives party would have at having of the Liberals crossing the floor. I, we, as conservatives could never accept these floor crosser, we meaning the conservatives have higher standards....... Yea right.
As for the tailoring between Mark Carney and his predecessor, for which I believe can only be described as such, Mr Carney's tailoring is of the finest one hundred percent wool, where as his predecessor was one hundred percent polyester.
As for the Liberal convention taking place here in Montreal this weekend, I hope that every minister, delegate, support staff, while they are driving to the convention, falls into one of our cavernous potholes. Lets say that im hoping that they may have some sort of epiphany, to help move Canada forward.
I think the CPC should be grateful they didn’t form government because they wouldn’t be a good foil— at all— for Trump. Look at how it has hammered Danielle Smith and Doug Ford; everything they’ve done has blown up in their faces and it looks very different when that happens to the conservatives because they’re allegedly on the same side.
