I'm truly embarrassed for those CPC MPs from the prairies who should have known better. FFS, culling infected flocks has been standard practice for decades, and for good reason. This kind herd behavior is the reason you blow a 25+ point lead.
There’s just SO much going on here at home, and if Elections Alberta doesn’t quit dragging their feet with the Alberta Progressive Conservatives name approval we are in trouble, we ARE headed in the same direction. They’ve GOT to get out there campaigning. She’s going to call an early election, Nenshi just doesn’t have it, in my opinion, BECAUSE our media is complicit. And, Glad our teachers told her to pound sand.
I wasn’t going to do the AB update this early in the week but it’s already piling up so I’m going to start it and see if it can wait or not. Smith is holding a presser at noon on the vote last night/next steps.
Bet it’s not the only thing she’ll be asked about from last night 🍿

And then there’s my odd things to focus on. 1). I agree with the comment that the day we lost Jack Layton, the NDP was lost as well. Although, now, I do enjoy listening to Tom Mulcair’s commentary on current politics. 2). We should never be in the same car together on the QE2(or anywhere else) as I would do absolutely nothing to quell your frustration with the drivers you described. I would be egging you on.
As a 4th generation dipper I take issue with your rant on the NDP vs Alberta NDP they are one in the same and if you had the intimate knowledge I do you would know that. FYI Avi Lewis is the son of Dave Lewis. Dave Lewis was a founding member of the original CCF and the architect behind the restructuring and subsequent rebranding of the CCF to into the NDP his platform is about bringing us back to our core values as the party founded by Trade Unionists and small farmers. One of my biggest issues with the Alberta NDP is that they refuse to capitalize on that fact including the fact that both founding of the CCF and the rebranding to NDP happen in Calgary Alberta and UFA was one the major founding members at the time and ironically the UFA was the party that was in Power in Alberta Legislature at the same time as they were being a major driving force behind the creation of the CCF/NDP
The parties are one and the same, it’s true, and that’s why the UCP and conservatives constantly throw the anti-oil sentiment that was coming from Singh and other MPs back onto the ANDP (who, under the leadership of Rachel Notley toured Canada making the case for pipelines, and had to fight with her counterpart in BC over TMX — same party, yet wildly different priorities).
Thankfully now when I renew my Alberta NDP membership, if they ever get around to asking, I can choose NOT be a member of the federal NDP, who are so ideologically poisoned by academic and hard left lack of common sense that I doubt they'll make it back to party status in my lifetime.
Let's be clear the NDP platform is not and was not Anti Oil & Gas and Singh was taken to task by Members for his misguided takes on the topic which is exactly why he had to do a pretty dramatic about face with his rhetoric on oil & gas because WE Members didn't agree
