Unbelievable that so many UCP MLAs (lawmakers??) are unable to read and understand the recall legislation that many of them voted to revise. MLA Dale Nally needs an extra special explainer, apparently. The voting records of any of his constituents are irrelevant to the recall process. It isn’t dawning on him or any of the others that they truly fail to grasp the extent of Albertans’ objections to repeated egregious overstepping, incompetence, negligence and corruption. Oh and by the way, Bill 10. Gaslighting Albertans about the reasons for “critical” harvest of fenced-in domestic cervids, isn’t working. Just call it what it is: trophy slaughter. Making sure that a couple of game farm operators can swap $40,000 and upwards for a pair of elk antlers, is NOT saving Alberta’s “diversified livestock industry” and it does not “bring in tourism.” And you don’t get to call it hunting. I don’t even have to oppose the policy to justify the claim of ministerial malfeasance. The lying is enough. Before you ask, no, I am not in Nally’s riding but yes as an Albertan I do have a right to oppose legislation, especially when Albertans have given this government a mandate for none of it. This is what is behind the recalls, plain and simple.
I never vote for a party that consistently underfunds our universal healthcare and education. Why Albertan’s keep voting against their own best interests is beyond me. They hear oil and gas and vote for that party. How in the world does that help any Albertan personally? I pray Albertan’s stop voting the same party in over and over as they ignore the electorate since they know they will get elected in no matter how they screw Albertan’s over. It is ludicrous. As well they better wake up to the fact there is no Conservative party in Alberta currently. There hasn’t been for a decade now. UCP is an authoritarian government wrapped in Conservative banner to disguise itself. A platform where all decisions are to further their ideologies which are not even based on fact or proper due diligence. We are really being screwed over and our costs are rising with ever horrid decision they make. The CorruptCare investigation should halt their being able to further mess with our healthcare system until investigation is complete as there surely was corruption involved there to line their pockets.

Everything you mentioned was supported by these MLAs. In some cases, their F&Fs have benefited from UCP policies. It's a good time to own a private school or trophy hunting business for example.
The mewling from these hacks isn't worth "a bucket of warm spit." Insofar as they helped push the recall legislation through, they can't now qualify how constituents should proceed. They can be potentially recalled just BECAUSE constituents want to under the UCP legislation.
In most cases these MLAs are from YYC or YEG are vulnerable. I didn't dig into the numbers much. Nonetheless, Muhammad Yaseen at 129 vote margin of victory & Sawhney @ 143 margin and some others have their rear ends exposed. There's 8 or 9 MLAs who should looking over their shoulders.

A small number of MLAs could easily get recalled. However, the termerity (sarc) of constituents to hold them accountable has killed the vibe for these bullies.
Premier Smith, she of the anyone with stage four cancer has done it to themselves has no place telling medical professionals how to treat patients. She has no right limiting the decision making of parents by denying them the ability to decide what is best medical treatment for their children. How is any individual's sexual identity any business of any government?
I wonder what the total lab fiasco cost to the taxpayer would be if we included the wasted monies already invested in building a new public laboratory that the Cons quashed as one of their first "because the NDP” anti-initiatives. I notice they have now designated the land set aside for the lab as the new Stollery Hospital site maybe because some of the groundwork has already been completed.
Denying puberty blockers wholesale does not only hurt trans kids, but also endangers the lives of children who are not trans and need the medication for their health conditions.
Also, gender surgery under age 16 was never done in Alberta anyway. It was just a rage-baiting point to incense their unhinged base.

I will repeat this here, for those with earplugs; the degree of our understanding of the morality or the science of the medical care doesn't change this irreversible fact - one hundred percent of kids dead by their own hand are infertile.
A month ago I said there was no chance of a recall being successful. Now I wouldn't be surprised if more than 1 happened. 14 recalls is an absolutely giant rebuke.
From recent family experience I learned that if I want to pay for my own MRI in Alberta (prior to any recent changes) I could only do so with a physician's requisition in hand so that does slow the process down while making extra coin for operators.
Also found out that you don't have to go to the US to jump the queue for surgeries.
The Canada Health Act doesn't currently allow me to pay for necessary surgery quicker in my own province, BUT I can go to Quebec, Ontario, BC et al and pay $$$ for hip, shoulder, prostate and other surgeries without violating the CHA?
Seems that airlines and hotel chains must have supported these foolish loopholes? 😳😳
The reason you (should) need a requisition is to make sure a) you are choosing the right test and b) there is somebody to follow up on the results. The UCP’s new rules will enrich some people and create chaos for others
