It's unfortunate when the official opposition adopts the "pissed about everything" model. It certainly doesn't help PP in federal circles and hasn't helped the NDP here.
Just one of 14 bills in the session, not one of which did a damn thing to improve the lives of Albertans (Unless you're a UCP MLA, apostate or APP separatist leech).
The least useful, most divisive session in recent history I think.
As someone who had the unfortunate experience of dealing peripherally with the Peterson issue at his regulatory College through my position on the Board of the BC College, I can honestly say that if this had been a member of the BC College of Psychologists, he would,have had his registration cancelled his license to practise revoked and been listed as a “Danger to society”.
He is a worse narcissist than Trump is, has delusions of genius, thinks EVERYONE except himself is stupid, and uses a Gish Gallop when he talks to anyone who he believes is beneath him. And when you listen to what he actually says,it’s absolute unintelligible garbage!
First of all, a totally silly performative notion that some may call legislation. We all know that the UCP are expertise scarecrows. What better than a nod to Jordan Peterson to take a poke to professional regulating bodies.
There’s no doubt Mrs David Moretta is an amoral person interested only in her welfare and supporting like minded sociopaths, my words.
When your personal hero’s and peers are the likes of Tubby Black, Testicle Tanning Tucker Carlson, Master Misogynist Jordan Peterson, Cruela DeVille Noem, Tiny Tim Pollievre and the orange drag queen himself you don’t need to tell me anymore about yourself.
In My Alberta leadership serves all Albertans, it seeks to join us not divide us, it intersperses long term, short term and medium term goals that elevate all of us. It does not whinge, it is not a victim, it does not act out of imagined rage rather it builds consensus, funds commonality and doesn’t destroy institutions for personal gain. Nor does it rape the earth and the human capital of the province. In My Alberta we recognize we are stronger together, our systems more robust, sustainable and stable because of joint goals of bettering lives through health, education, service.

Legitimizing Bull Shit in the name of some idea of academic freedom. The question is the ‘academic’ part. Peterson is in no way an academic, he’s quite the opposite actually. In academics you are being questioned all the time, like Einstein was. It’s when these questions come that your work shines and proves itself, or it makes you re-think your process and conclusions. What Peterson wants is to be free from the ‘academics’ part. He just wants to spout his BS without challenge or justification. It is because it is. Well that doesn’t fly in academia and that’s why he needs political help against his academic betters. And he’s found a champion in the dimwit Premier of Alberta.
The opposition don't play dirty. It's a lovely quality but sadly not a winner in the bloodsport of politics. I think the term is "bringing a knife to a gunfight."
