On some of the worst days of following along with Alberta politics, I can’t help but wonder what would have happened if Jim Prentice had won in 2015. I think it’s possible that I might have lost interest after the election. The status quo would have continued and I might have gone back to whatever it was that I was doing then. Maybe I would have tried to keep the temporary government job that I hated. I wouldn’t have been disappointed by the fact that the NDP didn’t really seem to be the “worker party” they’d said they were, and I wouldn’t have expected anything to change. It would have been just another job in a long line of “just another” jobs.
